After the steep decline of COVID-19 cases two weeks ago, the rate of decline has continued to slow. COVID-19 hospitalizations remain steady as has the positivity rate.  
 
Butler County saw 1 confirmed flu-associated hospitalizations for the  week ending on1/28/2023. Flu hospitalizations remain lower than the 3-year average, which for this time of year is 7.7. Receiving the flu vaccine is the best way to reduce the chance of illness and complications, including those resulting in hospitalization and death.
