EMPLOYMENT AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Program Specialist, Maternal & Child Health
The Program Specialist works under the supervision of the Program Manager to run the day-to-day operations of Butler County’s Queen Village program. Queens Village is centered around Black women’s experiences and works to reduce isolation, mitigate stress, and lessen poor outcomes of pregnancy. The ideal candidate will become an important part of the Queens Village team, researching the needs of communities locally and co-implementing strategies to address the identified needs.

Harm Reduction Specialist
Promotes harm reduction services in Butler County, Ohio with a special focus on providing educational trainings, distributing naloxone and operating the county’s Syringe Services Program (SSP). The emphasis is on “meeting individuals where they are” and providing non-judgmental, non-coercive services, and resources to individuals who use drugs. This position is supported through harm reduction grant funding.

Plumbing Inspector
Conducts plumbing inspections to ensure conformity to all state and local laws and regulations.  This includes underground, structural, and final inspections as well as medical gas inspections under the supervision of the Chief Plumbing Inspector.  Consults with plumbing contractors, homeowners and hospitals regarding new installations and repairs of existing installations – this includes plan review.
