Butler County COVID-19 Weekly Report
Butler County's community COVID-19 levels are now at High. This means that the amount of COVID-19 circulating in the community and the burden on our healthcare systems warrant additional precautions.

It's important to stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines. When someone is up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines, they are less likely to have severe complications that could result in hospitalization or death. It's also recommended to resume masking while in indoor public spaces. Respirators provide the greatest amount of protection for you and others, but all masks do remain effective to varying degrees and a simple mask is significantly more valuable than not wearing a mask in these situations.

Those who are immunocompromised or at high risk for severe complications including should consider wearing a respirator, reconsider non-essential indoor activities, and talk to a healthcare provider about access to treatments. Those who are around loved ones at that level of risk should also consider additional precautions. Working to improve ventilation in your indoor spaces is also going to be effective. As always, follow all guidelines for isolation or quarantine should you be diagnosed or exposed, respectively, to COVID-19.
