Increasing Flu Activity in Some States, Especially Among Young Adults
The CDC's most recent Flu report shows an increase of influenza A cases in recent weeks. The majority of the cases have been found in young adults and children. They tend to be the main drivers when it comes to flu transmission.
Flu vaccination is the best way to prevent the spread of the flu.
Protect yourself against the flu:
- Get a flu shot
- Stay home if sick
- Wash your hands
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- Practice healthy cleaning and disinfection practices at home, work or school
