Butler County General Health District's 87th COVID-19 Update

All indicators (cases, hospitalizations, deaths and positivity rate) are trending in the down direction. Even with the drop in cases Butler County remains a community of high spread.

While hospitalizations and deaths are lagging indicators and they could increase in the next couple of weeks. Typically the peak in reported deaths occurs 4-6 weeks after the peak in cases during outbreaks. 

Butler County’s positivity rate also took a steep dive, and this puts the positivity rate at “substantial positivity” rather than high positivity.
