NOW is the Time Because Public Health Cares

BUTLER COUNTY, OHIO – According to the CDC, Butler County is experiencing a “substantial spread of the delta variant.” CDC guidance recommends for all people, vaccinated or not, to wear masks indoors. Vaccination remains the best defense, so, NOW is the time!  

In an effort to increase vaccinations as the COVID-19 Delta variant spreads, all three local health departments with partners at the Butler County Emergency Management Agency, Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) and the Fair Board are collaborating to host a large vaccine clinic on August 7 from 11 AM – 4 PM at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

Anyone 12 years and older that need their first or second shots are welcome. Parents or guardians must be present for those 17 years and younger. All three vaccines will be available to choose from and those receiving their first shot will get a $50 gift card, while supplies last.

In addition to incentives, BCRTA will provide free round trip transportation on a first come, first serve basis from three different pick-up locations within the county. The vaccine shuttle will take about an hour, round trip and masks are required. Pick-up and drop-off details include:

Fair Oaks Plaza

  • Pick-up is from 10 AM – 10:15 AM
  • Arrive at the Butler County Fairgrounds around 11 AM
  • Back to Fair Oaks Plaza around 12:15 PM

 First United Methodist Church

  • Pick-up is from 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM
  • Arrive at the Butler County Fairgrounds around 1 PM
  • Back to Fair Oaks Plaza around 2:15 PM

 Middletown Transit Hub

  • Pick-up is from 2:45 PM – 3 PM
  • Arrive at the Butler County Fairgrounds around 3:30 PM
  • Back to Fair Oaks Plaza around 5 PM
